Simple soulful Italian food is on our Menu. This is a restaurant without all the nonsense – just the best seasonal ingredients and Italian-sourced artisan products, cooked in an authentic wood-fired oven – making for the ideal destination to catch up over a meal with friends. Recycled wood, glowing Edison bulb lighting and tantalising aromas draw in locals and visitors alike to peruse a traditional menu offering everything from hand-made pasta to wood-fired pizza, craft beer and wine.

Craving an authentic Italy style pizza (72 hours!), there's no where better than Ill Birrificio Pizzeria on Burwood Road (near corner of Warrigal road and same side as the IGA). This is a fabulous, quaint, yet sometimes super busy dining venue (also has take away). Cannot recommend their highly pizza as they make the BEST pizza, most delicious salads, and pasta ever. The chefs and service personnel are wonderful. Even when busy, they go out of their way to make sure you get good service and the food is excellent, the type of authentic tasty Italian food and pizza you can rarely find these days. Thin crust pizza with the perfect crust! You'll love their food and the environment is very quaint/pizza cafe style so the environment is casual but comfortable. Authentic! ~ Connie *
Honestly got no complaints. We only ordered the one gluten free pizza to share and that was pretty good! Wouldn't have known it was gluten free if my friend hadn't told me, which is a big plus I think! What I was super Super impressed by was the impeccable service, they really go over and above! I was very well looked after from the moment I stepped into the restaurant to the moment we left. Their caring and attentive service really gave me the impression that they genuinely appreciated and valued their customers, was a wonderful atmosphere to dine in. My friend was running late and the waitress brought me some olives to enjoy while I waited - I actually don't usually eat olives but it was such a nice gesture I had a few anyway, and quite enjoyed it lol 😅 Would definitely come back and try some more pizza and pasta. I also liked the selection of beers (imported and/or craft available) they offered haha ~ Diana S
